Man's best friend are words that we applied,
To fit your beautiful heart.
Forever a companion at our heels,
Heaven's splendid work of art.

As a member of our family,
And a sentinel at our door.
You knew each person that entered our lives.
One loving soul on legs of four.

You held us in such high regard,
With such unconditional love.
The day we chose to bring you home,
God had sent you from above.

I knew that you had once been His,
And you were a gift God sent on loan.
Too short a time I had you near,
For now Heaven's called you home.

At the Lords feet, you now, can find your place,
To greet the souls that need some mend.
Once a four legged angel, my precious puppy,
Now you're God's Best Friend.
