Heaven’s Gold
God spies a war and loyal men,
Touching each and every soul.
So they hold no fear and know no grief,
By sharing His heavenly gold.
We try to emulate His own precious treasure,
In our own meek and trivial ways.
This endeavor falls short, as we attempt to unite
For our military’s safety we pray.
They lie in His arms in the direst of times,
Until they are home safe and sound.
We tie our gold ribbons up in our trees,
And the Lord plants His in the ground.
