Photograph of Alycia and Brittanie Kohlhoff ~Christmas 1999

Have you ever viewed Christmas,
Through the eyes of a child?
It's mystery and intrigue,
Found in each curious smile.
Watching their faces alight,
With such a magical wonder.
How long ago, was your tender heart
Alive with holiday thunder?
Washed over with feelings,
Waves of swift butterflies.
Anticipating a miracle,
Seen through the gleam of young eyes.
As we rejoice in the birthday,
Of the Lord's precious Son.
And await for His Spirit,
To fill everyone.
I ask, do you remember,
Just what it was like?
To be a child at Christmas,
Encircled by light.
Is this feeling held in,
Never to be free and unbridled?
Relive this Christmas magic,
Through the eyes of a child.
